Hello!
You already know my name because you clicked on it. I am a second year
Economics student and I am 22 years old at the time of writing.
Brace
yourself for a cliché. I took a few years out before Uni because I wasn’t sure
whether I wanted to go or not. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my life
and didn’t see any point in going to Uni in that frame of mind.
In
those 3 years, I travelled around the world and worked in Malaysia for a year
and a half. I certainly don’t regret it, because it gave me the focus to get a
good degree in order to expand my opportunities later in life. I like to keep
my options open.
Clichés
over. This blog will explore the struggle that people go through when wanting
to keep their options open in the future by keeping a broad range of interests,
whilst needing focus and direction (often meaning sacrificing opportunities and
limiting future prospects) in order to achieve in the present.
